Wash the Dress

We prefer to think that the dress was gently tumbled in salt water than saying that we "trashed the dress." Nevertheless, the photos capture the movement between water, wind and woven threads. A willingness to not care about hair or a spot on a gown is what every photographer dreams of when shooting a bride's after-wedding photos. That combination opens the lens to photos like these.

As a husband and wife photography team, we are able to create photoshoots based on our inspirations. This is all mermaid comes to shore. David shot Danielle in these photos in Laguna Beach, CA (hence the absence of the groom). Though she prefers to be behind the camera, she agreed to play bride mermaid during the golden hour for these photos. "Washing" the dress was a beautiful experience that we hope to create for many other couples.
